Andersen Unus Shopper — Marta Bag
Some shopping trolleys look like medical equipment. The Unus Shopper is not one of them. It's Andersen's design-award-winning urban shopper — four design awards including the Red Dot and Universal Design Award — paired here with the Marta. The aluminium frame, height-adjustable 3-way handle and 17 cm ball-bearing wheels make it as practical as it looks. Bike n Easy compatible with the Type 2 Adaptor.

Compatibility
The Unus suits urban shopping, design-conscious daily use, and households where people of different heights share the trolley. The 17 cm wheels handle smooth pavement and most kerbs comfortably but aren't designed for serious off-road or gravel use — the Tura or Royal are the heavy-terrain options. Bike towing works via Andersen's Bike n Easy Type 2 Adaptor.
Attaching to a bicycle
This Shopper is compatible with Andersen's Bike n Easy attachment system, which lets you switch between pulling on foot and towing behind a bicycle in a few seconds.
Two components are needed: an adaptor on the Shopper (this frame takes the Type 2 Adaptor) and a coupling unit on the bicycle. The bike-side coupling depends on your bicycle's geometry:
Pull Easy — bikes with a rear luggage carrier
Easy Snap — alternative for rear-carrier bikes
Big Easy — bikes without a rear rack (mounts to seat strut)
The full breakdown with fitting guides and videos is on the Andersen Bike n Easy attachment guide.
Fitting & installation
The Andersen frame arrives fully assembled. The bag clicks onto the frame using the HängFix system (on Royal, Royal Plus, and Unus frames) or attaches via integrated straps (on Scala, Komfort, and Tura). Both are tool-free.
For bicycle attachment, see Compatibility above and the Andersen Bike n Easy guide for the full fitting walk-through, including PDFs and video tutorials per coupling. The Unus Shopper user manual is available to download on this page.

FAQs
Why does the Marta have no side pocket when most other bags do?
Andersen redesigned the Marta's outer to be cleaner-looking — the side pocket was removed to keep the silhouette uninterrupted. Functionally you lose a small quick-access area; aesthetically you gain a smoother profile that suits the Camel and Olive colourways.
Why does the Unus cost more than the Scala if both are pull-alongs?
Three reasons — the aluminium frame (lighter and stiffer than the Scala's), the height-adjustable 3-way handle (Scala has a fixed flat handle), and the 17 cm ball-bearing wheels (versus the Scala's 15 cm). It's a design product, so some of the premium is also for the form factor that won the Red Dot.
Will the Unus handle gravel paths or unpaved tracks?
It'll handle them but it's not what it's optimised for. The 17 cm wheels transmit more vibration on rough ground than the Tura's 29 cm pneumatic wheels or the Royal's larger options. For regular off-road use, choose Tura or Royal. For occasional gravel, the Unus copes fine.
Hitch A Bike Expert Note
The Marta's appeal is the colour palette — Camel and Olive are the most understated natural tones in the entire Andersen range. If your daily-use aesthetic matters (commuting in business attire, market trips where you don't want the trolley to look like a piece of equipment), this is the bag. The missing side pocket is a minor practical trade-off for that.
