Compatibility
The Tura is the closest match in the Andersen range to a bike trailer. Best for: rural routes, cobbled town centres, gravel paths, regular bike towing over rough terrain. The 127 cm handle height suits taller users. Not ideal for: very tight storage spaces — the larger wheels and taller chassis don't fold as compactly as the Scala or Unus. Bike towing via the Type 2 Adaptor.
Attaching to a bicycle
This Shopper is compatible with Andersen's Bike n Easy attachment system, which lets you switch between pulling on foot and towing behind a bicycle in a few seconds.
Two components are needed: an adaptor on the Shopper (this frame takes the Type 2 Adaptor) and a coupling unit on the bicycle. The bike-side coupling depends on your bicycle's geometry:
Pull Easy — bikes with a rear luggage carrier
Easy Snap — alternative for rear-carrier bikes
Big Easy — bikes without a rear rack (mounts to seat strut)
The full breakdown with fitting guides and videos is on the Andersen Bike n Easy attachment guide.
Fitting & installation
The Andersen frame arrives fully assembled. The bag clicks onto the frame using the HängFix system (on Royal, Royal Plus, and Unus frames) or attaches via integrated straps (on Scala, Komfort, and Tura). Both are tool-free.
For bicycle attachment, see Compatibility above and the Andersen Bike n Easy guide for the full fitting walk-through, including PDFs and video tutorials per coupling. The Tura Shopper user manual is available to download on this page.

FAQs
Can the Hydro 3.0 actually be worn as a backpack?
Yes — the carry straps stow inside a flap on the back of the bag during trolley use, and pull out for backpack mode when you need to take just the bag (into a shop, onto a bus, up flats of stairs). It's not as comfortable as a dedicated rucksack for long distances but works for the "last quarter mile" off the trolley.
How does the thermal compartment work alongside the waterproof outer?
The thermal compartment is a separate insulated section inside the main waterproof outer shell — so chilled items stay cool AND dry even in heavy rain. The trade-off is the thermal section eats into the 62L main capacity: effective ambient-storage volume is around 54L when the thermal is in use.
How does the Tura compare to using a proper bike trailer?
It's closer than the rest of the Andersen range but still optimised as a shopping trolley first, bike trailer second. The 29 cm pneumatic wheels handle towing well at walking-pace cycling speeds (up to around 10 mph). For higher-speed bike trailer use, faster cargo trailers from dedicated bike trailer manufacturers are a better choice.
Why does the Tura use the Type 2 Adaptor and not Type 1?
The Tura has Andersen's 3-way handle system — the same handle that lets you adjust the height also requires the specifically-shaped Type 2 Adaptor to attach to the bike. The Royal and Komfort use a different handle style and so take the Type 1 Adaptor. See our Bike n Easy guide for the full breakdown.
Hitch A Bike Expert Note
The Hydro 3.0 is the bag we'd recommend for any UK customer who shops year-round and wants one bag that handles everything. Two things to know: the roll-top closure means you lose 3-4 litres of stated volume per fold when sealed for full waterproofing — pack accordingly. And the wide roll-top opening isn't ideal for tall items like baguettes or wine bottles standing upright; those work better in the Holk or Famke. The backpack mode is genuinely useful — most owners discover it after a few months and wonder how they shopped without it.
