A Robert Axle Project thru-axle for kid, dog and cargo trailers. It replaces your bike's stock rear thru-axle with one that carries a bolt-on eyelet for the trailer hitch, so you can tow a kid / cargo trailer from a modern thru-axle bike.
Spec: 12 mm diameter, M12×1.75 thread, 174–180 mm (with spacers: 174/180 mm) long. Machined in USA — Bend, Oregon, in 7075 aluminium with stainless-steel ends. Backed by RAP's lifetime warranty.
The M10×1 threaded stud on the stainless end accepts any standard trailer hitch — the one your Croozer, Thule Chariot, Burley, Weehoo or Wike came with. Installed or removed with a 5 mm Allen key.

Pro tip
If you own a modern mountain, gravel, road or e-bike from around 2018 onwards, you probably have a thru-axle rather than a quick-release. A thru-axle looks like a solid rod that threads directly into the frame — no lever, no skewer. The RAP axle replaces that rod with a matching one that has a bolt-on eyelet for the trailer hitch. Five minutes with the Allen key that came with your bike, and you're done.
This axle ships with spacer options that change the effective thread-engagement length. Compare the length range on the box to your existing axle before you install — pick the spacer that matches.

Fits bikes with a 12 mm thru-axle, M12×1.75 thread, 174–180 mm (with spacers: 174/180 mm) long. Is the trailer hitch included?
No. The hitch is what comes with your trailer (BOB skewer, Croozer Click & Crooz, Thule ball hitch, etc.). This axle just gives that hitch a mounting point on your bike.
What tool do I need to install it?
A 5 mm Allen key — the same one you likely already carry.
Is there a warranty?

We offer Free Shipping on all our products over £49 for the UK mainland.
We do our best to have your order shipped within 2 (two) to 5 (five) business days from the date of your order. Please note some of our products are custom made or sourced from mainland Europe and some delivery times frames may be between 5 (five) and 21 (twenty-one) business days. Shipping times will be accurately displayed at checkout. We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.
We endeavor to have your order delivered in the shortest amount of time possible. Express delivery for the next day or within 48 hours is available in certain instances at an extra cost. Please email support@hitchabike.co.uk for an accurate quote.
If, due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, a product becomes out of stock after an order has been placed, the customer will be notified by email and given an option to cancel the order and receive a full refund.
The customer should be aware that if an order consists of more than one product, these products may be delivered separately. In these cases, the customer will accept part delivery of an order.
Order confirmation
When we receive your order, we provide you with a confirmation to your email.
In addition, when you receive your order confirmation we have pre-authorised your payment method. We check with our warehouse or suppliers to make sure that your desired item is available and can be despatched.
In the event that your items are unavailable for immediate despatch, we remove the pre-authorisation from your credit card and send you an email informing you of our actions.
When items are available to be dispatched, we process the charges and prepare to despatch your order.

Where does Hitch A Bike deliver?
We deliver to all of the UK. Deliveries to Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and UK offshore islands may take an additional day to arrive.
RETURNS
Cancellations & Refunds
If your order has been shipped, you (the buyer) will also be responsible for actual return shipping charges. Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card that you use when placing your order. The refund will be issued to the customer within 14 days of receipt of the product. Refunds on returns will only be accepted if the customer returns the product in its original packaging, unused, with all labels intact and any documentation that comes with the item.
Please note some of our featured products are shipped from various countries in the EU. These items have limited return policies. In some cases, an item may only be returned if it was received in a damaged condition. You (the buyer) will incur all costs related to the return shipping of these items.
